5-Star Summer Retreat for Montreal’s Yagdil Torah Families

This summer, Yagdil Torah families of Montreal were treated to a five-star summer retreat like no other. Set in the serene, picturesque town of St-Sauveur, nestled in the lower Laurentian mountains, the newly remodeled Chabad of Sauveur provided the perfect backdrop for a day full of connection, relaxation, and inspiration.

The retreat was designed to cater to the entire family, offering a range of activities, workshops, and delicious meals from morning until evening. Special guests Rabbi Avrohom and Mrs. Goldie Plotkin, Shluchim from Markham, ON, brought their unique experiences and wisdom, engaging the adults in meaningful discussions and personal conversations.

Fun for the Whole Family

While the adults enjoyed thoughtful sessions, the children were in great hands. Babysitters and staff ensured the kids had a blast, with activities ranging from a bouncy castle and petting zoo to face painting and a caricaturist. Older children even got the thrill of visiting a nearby amusement park. To top it all off, all the kids were treated to a horse and buggy ride around town and a mind-blowing magic and mind-reading show.

Inspiring Sessions for Adults

The men and women had separate interactive sessions with Rabbi and Mrs. Plotkin, focusing on relevant topics like family life, raising children with positivity, and preparing for the spiritual months of Elul and Tishrei. In addition, the women had the opportunity to participate in a special resin art workshop, where they created their own honey dishes, adding a personal and creative touch to the day.

Delicious Meals and Relaxation

The retreat wasn’t just about inspiration; it also featured delicious food. Guests enjoyed light refreshments in the morning, a wholesome lunch, and a BBQ supper to close out the day. It was the perfect balance of fun, learning, and nourishment—both for the body and soul.

Feedback from Attendees

Here’s what some of the attendees had to say about the day:

– “Wow, what you guys put together was beyond amazing! Every single detail was so thought out and planned to perfection. Our community is so lucky!”– “Best way to go into Elul!”– “Miri, thank you so much for an incredible day! Your dedication to our community is inspiring and appreciated. Every detail was so thoughtfully planned.”– “It was literally a taste of how it’ll be when Moshiach comes. Everything taken care of, running so smoothly and peacefully, for all ages—physically and spiritually. It was such a treat to be there!”

All in all, the Yagdil Torah summer retreat provided an unforgettable experience for the entire family. It was a day filled with fun, inspiration, and unity, leaving everyone excited for the year ahead, full of blessings and positive energy.

With prayers and hopes for a new year of health, wealth, happiness, and redemption, families left the retreat uplifted and looking forward to the next gathering!
